Builders for Builders Gravel Bike Raffle
In support of the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship, Mosaic Cycles will be auctioning off this award winning GT-1 frameset as a part of the #BuildersforBuilders fundraiser. The bike will be shown first at this weekend's Lost and Found Gravel Grinder and Bike Ride in Lake Davis, California. The GT-1 frameset, Mosaic’s top of the line titanium gravel frame, aims at a different category of performance than their road and cyclocross bikes: one of comfort, longevity, and functionality. It is outfit with ENVE Composites GRD fork, cockpit and G23 wheelset laced to Chris King hubs. The frame is completed with a SRAM Red22 hydro drivetrain and WTB tires and saddle. This frame is a 54cm effective top tube. “Gravel bikes have allowed us to see so many new ‘roads’ over the last several years including the northern Sierra Nevadas with events like Lost and Found and Grinduro,” said Aaron Barcheck, founder of Mosaic Cycles. “ Joining forces with other framebuilder to give back to the builders who have helped make it possible is a special opportunity for us.” Joining Mosaic Cycles in the Builders for Builders auction are framebuilders McGovern Cycles, Sklar Bikes, and Stinner Frameworks. The four bikes will be exhibited at the Lost and Found gravel race and the raffle will be live from June 2nd through June 15th, hosted by The Pro’s Closet. All donations and raffle ticket purchases are tax deductible.
Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship is a non-profit organization that builds and maintains multi-use trails in the Sierra Buttes, Tahoe, Plumas and Lassen national forests. Their mission is building sustainable recreation-based communities through stewardship, job creation and hosting world-class events. SBTS has donated an estimated 72,000 hours of volunteer labor, maintained over 800 miles of shared use trails and created nearly 80 miles of new trails since 2003.
“While these are showroom worthy bicycles, they truly shine when they are being ridden,” said Billy Sinkford of media relations partner ECHOS Communications, who has coordinated this effort. “These builders all came together wanting to support local trail builders who are stewards of the land and the local community. The work being done by SBTS exemplifies the time, dedication and craftsmanship that is on display.”
