MATERIALSTEELThe ride quality of steel is hard to beat. Today’s lightweight, high tensile strength butted steel tubes create a surprisingly light, stiff and supple bike. We offer tube sets from Columbus, Reynolds and Dedacciai. However, we prefer to use American made True Temper OX Platinum tubing whenever possible. OX Platinum tubing is based on state of the art steel metallurgy. True Temper uses modified aerospace grade steel with enhanced properties for lightweight bicycle frame construction. This allows us to create a high performance bicycle that maintains the wonderful feel of steel. The tubing comes in a range of wall thicknesses and butt lengths so we can fine-tune the frame's stiffness and strength to your cycling needs.. |
